"From the time we found our home on "A Place in The Sun” and booking our flights we had no idea we would end up owning our own bit of Spain…

Marcus and I got in touch with Karen and the team and flew to Spain for a week to check out a couple of properties they had listed in Lubrin. On the first day we arrived we popped our head around the door (a day before our appointment!) but Karen and Paul were really accommodating, they took time to show us what facilities were available to us in Lubrin, even showing us a house in the town. The next day as planned we visited the other properties we had selected and fell in love with our first choice. That afternoon we made an offer this was accepted and a deposit was paid, but unlike the UK this is where the help began.

 Karen, Paul and the team then introduced us to a Spanish Bank (Cajamar Rural), and introduced us to Eusabio who spoke enough English with our poor Spanish to open a bank account, they also introduced us to our lawyer (Juana Maria Ramos Aliaga) who was instrumental in helping us buy the house…

 It took a long while for us to complete on our home, but this was nothing to do with the team all to do ensuring everything was in order, They Karen and Juana Maria were with us every step of the way and everything was managed extremely efficiently and professionally and at no time did we have any concerns.

 We completed our purchase in May 2023 and then decided to engage Karen and her Project Management team to carryout the refurbishments and alterations to our home! What can I say who would have thought you could manage everything with Diego, Paco Luis and the team whilst in the UK with a private WhatsApp account so we can live chat get progress photos of our home as it progresses through its transition whilst making decisions that eliminate the need to stop any works until we return to Spain simply fantastic! 

 All in all I have and will continue to recommend Karen and her team including all the people Karen introduced us too that have helped us achieve our journey and start the next chapter of our lives, living in Spain…I cannot recommend them enough and would like to think we have gained a group of friends rather than just an estate agent, lawyer and banker which is kind of the service you would get in the UK….

We found our cortijo from a shortlist provided by Karen in January 2020 and put in an offer which was accepted. From that moment Karen hand- held us through the whole process with efficiency and professionalism. "A really interesting collection of properties and renovation works Karen, which I’m sure can give people lots of food for thought and ideas. 

Some people are still struggling to comprehend how Nicola and I could ever have even contemplated buying ‘El Algarrobo’ without viewing the property ‘in the flesh’ OR ever having even visited the area!

I’ve always believed that time spent in preparation is seldom wasted and with all the tools that modern technology offers it really is possible to get the ‘feel’ of a property and its surroundings ‘from afar’.

Google Earth, Google Maps and Google Street View, YouTube videos and the WhatsApp video walkthroughs with you and Paul all meant we really were able to get the look and feel of our property and its surroundings from almost 1,000 miles away BUT when we finally got to see our property in person 3 months after we’d completed our purchase there were no disappointments and still many things that exceeded our expectations.

What couldn’t be conveyed was the sound of the birds, regular Ibex visits, the tranquillity and the way the amazing views and awesome sunrises and sunsets change constantly. It really is a ‘lifestyle thing’ and we struggle to drag ourselves away from the house (even though an evening out with drinks and food at 4 different bars on Friday cost us the grand total of 9 euros each!).

We are still pinching ourselves at our amazing purchase and keep telling ourselves how lucky we are. 

El Algarrobo is a property that would not suit everyone but for us it is absolutely perfect."

"Coming from another country where I was also an estate agent and looking around for buying a home in Spain, I was really very happy to come in contact with Karen. Neither did she try to sway us in any particular direction where she might obtain a quick sale or maximum commission.....It was not difficult to make up our mind and Karen seemed to know which would be our choice of property after we had done our viewings.
